JATAKA TALES – THE OX WHO ENVIED THE PIG

The Jataka Tales are a collection of fables originally amongst the earliest of buddhist literature which are said to have been the stories the Buddha used to explain the real meaning of his philosophy.

547 of the Buddha’s earlier lives are narrated in these tales, which include stories of him out of the body and as different animals.

These tales seem to have many layers of meanings and are a joy to read for all ages.

Here is the tale of  THE OX WHO ENVIED THE PIG

ONCE upon a time there was an Ox named Big Red. He had a younger brother named Little Red. These two brothers did all the carting on a large farm.

Now the farmer had an only daughter and she was soon to be married. Her mother gave orders that the Pig should be fattened for the wedding feast.

Little Red noticed that the Pig was fed on choice food. He said to his brother, “How is it, Big Red, that you and I are given only straw and grass to eat, while we do all the hard work on the farm? That lazy Pig does nothing but eat the choice food the farmer gives him.”

Said his brother, “My dear Little Red, envy him not. That little Pig is eating the food of death! He is being fattened for the wedding feast. Eat your straw and grass and be content and live long.”

Not long afterwards the fattened Pig was killed and cooked for the wedding feast.

Then Big Red said, “Did you see, Little Red, what became of the Pig after all his fine feeding?”

“Yes,” said the little brother, “we can go on eating plain food for years, but the poor little Pig ate the food of death and now he is dead. His feed was good while it lasted, but it did not last long.”

To understand the many layers of teachings given in simple fables and parables you must take up the spiritual path to experience what is being talked about. Through Belzebuub’s teachings you can start to delve deeper into these stories and take up the real spiritual work.

Evan Almighty – Praying Lesson

In this clip from the movie Evan Almighty, God (Morgan Freeman) is talking to Evan’s wife about the opportunities we are given when we pray.

God ~ “…If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient?

If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous?

If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?”

It sounds so simple doesn’t it?,,, when Morgan Freeman puts it in this way but do you like me find it very difficult to take that chance when the divine gives you the opportunity to overcome a certain ego (anxiety, fear, judgement..etc)?

In my spiritual search, Belzebuub has the most efficient, simple techniques for enabling you to take full advantage of the opportunities that the divine presents to you.

In Belzebuub’s 2 talks on ‘Asking’
He talks about the power of prayer and how asking is a fundamental part of walking the spiritual path.

Some of the points that belzebuub makes on prayer are:

Esoteric faculties work through asking and asking enables the power of light to operate.

Only the arrogant don’t pray to the divine. If you try to take on the darkness by itself you will fail. It is impossible to fight the darkness without light.

We must realise that in daily life we are never alone and asking is of primary importance when fighting the dark internally and externally.

When asking An essential thing to have is humility. We must be truly humble to ask. The Esoteric will not open up to us if we are proud and self righteous.

Only the humble who can ask and withstand the torments and trials can take the opportunities and experience what real spirituality is.

Hail Mary Prayer

The Hail Mary prayer is typically thought of as a catholic prayer. The saying ‘3 hail marys before bed’ springs to mind.

Samael Aun Weor the Venerable Master says this Prayer, and the Our Father, must be said by all Gnostics before going to bed, or in moments of danger.

Samael writes the prayer slightly different to the traditionaly known way. See if you can tell the difference between Samael’s version and how Mother Teresa recites the prayer in the video below. Both deeply profoud.

Hail Mary;
Full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb (Iehsus).
Virgin Mary, Mother of God;
Pray for us sinners, those who have the sinning “I”;
Now and at the hour of the death of our defects (Egos).
Amen.
